Lincolnshire Police are reminding people not to give bank details to anyone over the phone following two incidents in the Skegness area yesterday (Wednesday 21st January). In the first incident a woman in her 70’s received a phone call from a man claiming to be from the Police in central London asking for her bank details due to some alleged problem with her account. The second incident involved a man in his 70’s receiving a phone call from someone, again claiming to be from the Police, who stated that they had caught  a person using the man’s bank card. Both of these incidents are fraudulent ‘scams’, the type committed regularly throughout the country. If you or anyone you know should receive any calls of this nature please report it to Police on 101. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT POLICE WILL NEVER CALL YOU AND ASK FOR BANK OR PERSONAL DETAILS. NEVER GIVE SUCH INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE AS YOU DON’T KNOW WHO YOU’RE TALKING TO
