In light of the large amount of parcels being delivered as we approach the festive period please be aware of the following ‘scam’. – A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) informing you that they were unable to deliver a parcel and requesting that you contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number). If you were to call the number and begin to hear a recorded message you will already have been charged £315 for that call. Please be aware that the name of the company and/or the premium rate number may change as the fraudsters realise that their ‘scam’ has been identified. If you do receive a card with these details please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655. PLEASE LET YOUR FRIENDS, RELATIVES, NEIGHBOURS AND OTHERS KNOW ABOUT THIS ‘SCAM’ AND DON’T BE TEMPTED TO RING ANY PREMIUM RATE NUMBERS
