Lincolnshire Police are advising people to take care when using cashpoint (ATM) machines following further incidents, this time in the Sleaford area. A device referred to as a ‘Lebanese Loop’, which prevents the machine from ejecting the card and any cash requested by the cardholder, was fitted to a machine at a branch of Lloyds TSB earlier this month. Once the cardholder has left the machine empty-handed, the thief then removes the device and the card. The machine then issues the money. PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN USING CASHPOINT MACHINES AND REPORT ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS TO POLICE.
