Fraudsters have set up a bogus website claiming to be the official site of National Savings & Investments               (NS & I) and are cold calling members of the public offering them the chance to invest in 65+ bonds (also known as pensioner bonds). People who then search on the internet for the website may be directed to the bogus site which then asks them to supply contact information. Victims then receive an e-mail or phone call from the fraudsters who request evidence of identity documents and bank account details either over the phone or by sending the victims ‘fake’ forms to complete. One common name which appears on the e-mails sent by the fraudsters is ‘Kevin Archer’. NS & I have confirmed that they don’t make any sales calls to potential customers. PLEASE DON’T GIVE OUT PERSONAL OR BANKING INFORMATION TO ANYONE WHO COLD CALLS YOU. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE ONLY DOMAIN NAME (WEBSITE ADDRESS) THAT IS LEGITIMATE FOR THIS ORGANISATION IS WWW.NSANDI.COM
