Monday 6th October 2014 is National Personal Safety Day, a part of the Live Life Safe, Suzy Lamplugh Trust. The Trust began after Suzy, an estate agent from Fulham in London, went missing in 1986 after an appointment. The annual Safety Day is aimed at highlighting some of the simple, practical actions that everyone can take to help avoid violence and aggression in today’s society. The theme for 2014 is ‘Door 2 Door Safety’ to stay safe during your journey from the moment you leave your door until you reach the door at your destination. This could include anything from going shopping to getting home after a night out. Lincolnshire Police is supporting this initiative in order to raise awareness and provide advice regarding your Personal Safety. Further advice and guidance is available at www.suzylamplugh.org
