Please be cautious when opening e-mails from unfamiliar addresses particularly if they have an attachment. This is a common method of infecting your computer with a ‘virus’ which can sometimes result in your personal information being obtained. During the past few months fake HMRC, local authority and Court e-mails have been sent to people across the country. I have received several in the past few weeks in relation to paternity testing, termination of employment and overdue invoices amongst others. IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS WHATSOEVER PLEASE DON’T OPEN THE ATTACHMENT BUT SIMPLY DELETE THE E-MAIL. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN THE VICTIM OF A FRAUD PLEASE INFORM ACTION FRAUD ON WWW.ACTIONFRAUD.POLICE.UK OR 0300 123 2040
